The other night I was in the bathroom getting ready for bed when I heard my husband say "Aleecia, get off Mia". Apparently Aleecia had accidentally rolled over onto Mia in the bed. A few moments later Aleecia came into the bathroom. She told me she had to tell me something. She whispered in my ear "Mom I think I killed Mia". She looked like she was about to cry. She seriously thought she had killed her little sister when she rolled onto her. I took her into the bedroom and showed her that Mia was okay she was just sleeping.

Legacy Highway
I have decided that I should avoid driving on Legacy Highway. Monday night I was coming home from my parents house when believe it or not I got pulled over again. The policeman was really nice and didn't give me a ticket (I guess it makes up for the two citations I got when I was 16). It actually turned out to be a good experience. Aleecia got a badge which she wears everyday and I learned some things about car seat safety. I thought it was really important things so I thought I would share the information.
1. The straps should be tight enough were you can only pinch a small amount of the strap.

2. The clip should be positioned at the child's nipple line.
3. Jackets should not be worn in car seats. They provide to much cushion. Blankets should be used instead to keep the child warm.
4. The car seat handle should be all the way back while traveling to allow car seat to function properly in case of an accident.
5. Seat belt should be in the locked position. To do this pull the seat belt all the way out and let seat belt crank tight.

Swimming at Grandmas
Every Monday I take the girls to my parents house to swim. I am determined to teach Aleecia how to swim this summer. Last Monday we just had fun in the pool! Why didn't my parents have the pool when I was a kid?

Flower Girl
Ben is getting married (again) and Aleecia has been asked to be the flower girl in the wedding. So, on Saturday we went to Davids Bridal to pick out a dress. Now, Aleecia is not a girly girl what so ever so I wasn't sure how patient she would be trying on dresses. When we first got there, there was a manikin wearing a wedding dress. Immediately Aleecia went over and started holding the train and talking to the manikin. She will be quit the flower girl. So, we started trying on the dresses and Aleecia was twirling and admiring herself in the mirrors. It had been the most girly we had ever seen her! We had found the dress we liked and put on gloves and these ugly slippers. I liked everything except the slippers but Aleecia fell in love with the slippers so we got them too. When we got home we dressed her up for her dad to see how beautiful she looked. While I was taking a potty break Aleecia grabbed a piece of pizza with her new gloves and was chowing down on it when I returned. So, now we have a little bit of pizza sauce on her new gloves. I knew she couldn't stay girly for long.

ZOO
Since Friday was such a beautiful day we decided to go to the zoo. Aleecia wanted to take her cousins Erik, Alex, and Bobby. Erik and Aleecia are 8 months apart and are best friends. The kids had a blast going to each exhibit trying to find the animals. Erik had already been to the zoo with his class earlier this year so it was like having a guide telling us about the animals. The zoo is something we try and do each year and Aleecia always seems to have fun. Aleecia is still talking about going back.

Loose tooth
Aleecia lost her first tooth on Saturday! I was wondering when it was going to come out since it was hanging on by a thread and when she would wiggle it, it would lay flat. When it finally came out Aleecia was so excited and was jumping up and down! She thought that it was suppose to bleed a lot since the kids at school bled she ran to get a tissue but it never even bled. For the rest of the day Aleecia carried around her tooth. That night Aleecia was so excited that the tooth fairy was gonna come. She placed her tooth in a plastic bag (making it easier for the tooth fairy) and put it under her pillow. This being the first time for the tooth fairy, the tooth fairy was a little unprepared and grabbed whatever was in his wallet. The next morning we all woke up to a very excited Aleecia. The tooth fairy took her tooth and left her money! Of course she had to spend her money right away and bought Hungry, Hungry, Hippos. Man, that tooth fairy is awesome!
