St. Patty's Day

I wanted to do something special for St. Patrick's day. I love holidays and want them to be special for the girls. I thought it would be fun to have dinner made up of green food.

I made pinwheels for an appetizer.

Spinach stuffed chicken served with a green salad and a green roll for the main course.

And then a fudge brownie topped with mint chocolate chip ice cream for dessert.

I thought I was being very creative. When David got home he tried the pinwheels then spit them out. Then he tried the chicken and told me it wasn't his favorite (meaning he didn't like it). Then he told me the rolls were dry. Aleecia started going through the fridge and asked me if I would make her a cheese roll-up. So much for making a special meal. I thought the food was good.

Mia enjoyed the green rolls.

And Aleecia ate the ice cream.

I am so impressed. I love doing all the fun green stuff on St. Patty's day. Unfortunately, this year I was too busy to even remember until half way through the day. But, even still, you have outdone anything I could have done. :) I bet your kids loved every bit of it!

Dont you love it when you put in all the time and effort and nobody appreciates it? i feel like making them eat cereal for a month after they do that.

That is so hard when you've made what looks like a delicious meal!! What is your recipe for stuffed chicken?
