Puppy Party

This year we decided to have a Birthday Party. Aleecia loves dogs so we had a Puppy Party. We played toss the bone in the dogs mouth. My moms cousin made the cutest dog and each kid tried to throw a rawhide bone into its mouth.

We then played fetch with newspaper. I had them crawl on the floor like a dog and grab as many newspapers as you could and bring them back. Who every got the most won.

It wouldn't be a party without a pinata. Aleecia loves to hit pinatas.
After everyone got a chance to hit the pinata we came inside for cake and ice cream. I thought I would try making the cake using fondant. It looked acceptable so maybe in the future I will use it again.
I bought a bunch of dog bowls so we ate our cake and ice cream out of them.
After cake and ice cream Aleecia opened her presents. I made bone shaped sugar cookies for everybody to take home. Aleecia had fun and maybe in a couple years we'll throw another party.

Ella had fun and ate her breakfast out of that bowl the next morning. Cute idea, your dog bone cookie was good too. She gave me a bite (or 2).
Happy Birthday Aleecia!!!

You must teach me how to use fondant, that cake is adorable! And what a fun idea to eat out of dog bowls! You are such a good party planner!

That cake looks way better than "acceptable" ;o) I'm determined to make Ismael a really cool birthday cake this year and attempt to use fondant too. I heard it can be kind of tricky so you'll have to give me some tips. Ooh, and I was half expecting to read @ the end of this post that you got Aleecia a puppy for her birthday to go along with the puppy party theme, but it looks like not. You still thinking about it?

Kirby had a blast! He liked the doggy bowl too, and was kind enough to share it with our cats! You're so brave to throw a birthday party, both my kids want one this year and I'm not sure I can handle it! AHHHHHH!!!!!! =]
