Lagoon Part 2

We got bounce back tickets to Lagoon so we took daddy this time. We went to Lagoona Beach first. Mia loved going down the little slides and swinging on the swings. Aleecia was brave and went down the water slides and loved it. Mia got cold so we got dressed and moved onto the rides. We went on all the rides in Kiddie land. Mia cried when we had to take her off most of the rides. Aleecia rode the white roller coaster with me. It was her first time. She had fun until she hit her head when we came to a rapid stop at the end. Will she go on it again in the near future? I'm not so sure.

Boats are Dangerous

Thursday started out as a normal day. We packed the boat up to take the family boating. It was a beautiful day. The water was great and there was hardly any boats on the lake. We got in the warm water and swam around a bit and then David decided he wanted to knee board. He was doing great trying to learn a new trick and then he fell. I turned the boat around to pick him up and he was holding his head and bleeding. The knee board had hit him in the back of the head when he fell. He was dizzy and confused and I had a hard time getting him out of the lake. Once I got him on the boat I tried to asses the injury. He had a huge goose egg and there was a lot of blood. I could see a deep laceration and knew that was the end of our little trip. I grabbed the knee board and started heading back to the dock. David wanted to stay so Aleecia could ride the tube but Aleecia and I knew he needed medical attention. I didn't want David driving with the possibility of a concussion so for the first time I drove with the boat. Thankfully we have good friends in the medical field and Jaime stapled up his head. 17 staples! All is well now.

Lagoon

My moms next door neighbor works at Lagoon and once a month they get discounted tickets. Since my moms cousin Andrea is in town we went to Lagoon for the day. It was Mia's first trip to Lagoon and we started her on the big rides. She didn't cry but she had a worried face the whole ride. Mia's favorite ride was the cars. Aleecia was finally tall enough to ride the big rides and had a blast. We got bounce back tickets and are excited to go back.

Fireworks

The 4th of July wouldn't be fun without fireworks. Mia loved the spaklers.

The week of the 4th

As tradition we went camping the week of the 4th. This time we took some friends with us.

On our first day we took a hike up to a cave we discovered a few years ago.

This was the first year that Mia was actually old enough to enjoy the camping experience.
There is nothing like a hot dog cooked over the camp fire and using the outhouses!

Aleecia had a great time and didn't want to go home.
