Electrical

We decided to go with recessed lighting for the basement. Thirty lights later we have light, a lot of light. All electrical work was estimated to be finished Saturday but, he didn't realize how much light we were having put up. Instead of just one day it has taken two days and it's still not finished. We have electrical lines everywhere.

Leakage! Major Leakage!

Since Dave and I have been married we have never gone grocery shopping without the other. On our last trip to the store we needed to buy diapers. I proceeded to put size 4 diapers on our cart when Dave noticed the size he was concerned. He looked at the recommended weight on the size 3 and 4. Mia weighs 22 pounds which is at the higher end of the size 3 and the lower end of size 4. Being the frugal guy that he is he figured that we could buy the size 3 and get more diapers for the price. I foolishly agreed. The first couple of weeks of using the diapers was fine. Mia was constipated and wasn't having her regular squashy poops (I know, TMI). Now that she is regular we have had exploding diapers after another. Last night was the final straw. I reached over Mia during the night and felt moisture! The diaper had leaked pee all over her and the bed! So, I had to wake her up to change her diaper, clothes and bedding. I don't remember Aleecia having so many leaky/exploding diapers as a baby. So, now I have a bunch of size 3 diapers and need size 4 but I can't buy any until I have used all of the size 3 diapers. I can't just waste them. What to do, what to do?

Big Project

For Christmas David had a room in the basement finished so I would have a room to scrapbook and sew. Ever since, David has been talking about finishing the rest of the basement (once David has an idea he doesn't stop thinking about it until it's done). We had a few people give us estimates on the cost of finishing the basement and it was more then what David was thinking. I told him we could wait and finish it later. That didn't stop the wheels turning in Davids head. We got our taxes done and we will be getting almost $5,000.00 back. Just enough to pay off the Tahoe. So, our plan is to pay off the Tahoe and get back into dept and finish the basement. Yesterday they started work. Now that we have started there is no turning back.

Mia and Daisy

Mia loves our bird Daisy! You can put her down anywhere in the house and she will crawl straight to Daisy's cage. She tries to pull herself up to reach her. Sometimes Daisy will come down to see whats going on and Mia shrills with excitement.

8 Great Years

8 years ago today I said "I do" to my very best friend, David. I knew when we first met that there was something special between us. I knew he was going to be the next boy I would kiss. What I didn't know was that he would be the last. Then on our first date I knew I loved him when he told me he believed in aliens and we have been together ever since. Happy 8th anniversary baby!
